Denver — The O'Brien Family Band returns to Swallow Hill on Friday,
November 23 at 8 p.m. with their special blend of Western, bluegrass, old-time
country and original music. For years Swallow Hill audiences have watched the
O'Brien kids, Kyle, 17, Maura 14, grow up musically and otherwise. Both have
been named Western Music Association International Youth Yodeling champions, and
their hot picking has also won them numerous awards across the U.S. on fiddle,
mandolin, singing, and guitar.
The O'Brien Family Band will be joined by Timothy P. Irvin and Friends,
which brings long-time Colorado music legend Timothy P. Irvin to the Swallow
Hill stage for a rare acoustic appearance. Well-known for years as the front
man for Timothy P. and Rural Route Three, Tim Irvin also performs as lead
singer for the world famous nostalgic 50s/60s rock-and-roll band, Flash
Cadillac, featured in the classic films, "American Graffiti" and "Apocalypse
Now," as well as episodes of TV's "Happy Days."

Helping people make music since 1979 years, Swallow Hill Music
Association is one of the largest institutions of its kind in the United
States as a source for folk, roots and acoustic music. With more than

new talent. The Julie Davis Music School at Swallow Hill provides a
valuable and affordable extra-curricular educational resource to the
community with more than 50 music instructors involved in more than 240
adult classes and 70 children's classes annually.
A Tier II member of the Scientific and
Cultural Facilities District (SCFD), Swallow Hill has won both the Mayor's
and Governor's Awards for Excellence in the Arts, countless "Best of
Denver" awards, has been recognized by the the North American Folk
Alliance, and is one of the most sought-after venues by folk and roots
performers in the country.
