Willie Jaeger

Willie has been teaching and performing for over twenty-five years. He has released three recordings and is currently performing with his band Jubilant Bridge. Contemporary folk, rock, country, western, Celtic, old-time / string band, Renaissance / early music, and just about anything with harmony are included in Willie's musical preferences. Willie's other interests include collecting small weird musical instruments, rubber noses, wind-up toys, and dumb jokes — all of which are known to sometimes make appearances during a performance or a lesson.

Willie teaches mountain and hammered dulcimer to students of all abilities, ranging in age from seven years to adults.

He is an easygoing, patient teacher who wants students to enjoy the process as well as the playing. Even with beginners, he has students playing music as early as their first lesson, because he believes that is where the fun is.

He tailors his teaching approach to the student, based on their pace and interests, and tries to help his students to develop the skills they need to continue working and developing on their own.
