Virginia Anderson

Virginia began her musical interests with the piano at age six. Since then, she's been trained in a variety of instruments and voice. Virginia has been teaching for 18 years, holding a degree from CU Denver and a professional license for K-12 Music. Her post-graduate overseas music studies included studying in Germany and Sweden, where she performed a free vocal improvisation with Par Ahlbom.

She currently provides music and singing for festivals and dances at the Cresset Community Farm, as well as directing choir and other musical activities for the services of The Christian Community Denver Center.

Virginia teaches mostly folk songs, classical, and jazz. Her style is structured with the intent on meeting the student wherever he/she is in interest and ability.

Her goal is to enrich and enliven the musical life of a community. Virginia's most enjoyable aspect of teaching is "seeing someone gaining confidence in the independent mastery and discovery of their own musical talent."
