HONORARY ADVISORY COUNCIL
What is Swallow Hill | Staff |
Board of Directors | History Every culture on the planet has a
tradition of Folk and Roots music. When the soundtrack to the film
O Brother Where Art Thou was awarded a Grammy for the Best Album
of the Year, the invisible nation that supports this music finally
received the recognition it so richly deserves. Despite the fact
that this music in America enjoys tremendous popularity, American
radio stations seldom, if ever, play the music.
We believe that recognition of the
importance and beauty of this music is far overdue by the American
media and that it is our responsibility to do what we can to raise
the awareness of the American public. To that end, we are proud to
have consolidated the Swallow Hill Honorary Advisory Council. The
objective of the Council is to enlist the support of notable
musicians and other key individuals in raising public awareness as
to the importance of Folk and Roots music.
The musicians listed below have
demonstrated their support for Swallow Hill and our mission. We
hope to continue adding other artists and supporters of the music.
